4 Steps To Take Before Starting Affiliate Marketing.
              Affiliate Marketing

It is believed by many that affiliate marketing is the easiest way to build an online business. The reason so many swear by affiliate marking is due to the fact, you don't need to create your own products. You can just simply find a product that is already selling and offers an affiliate commission.

Wait not so fast, just grabbing any product that looks like it is selling is not the way. You need to do some research and planing if you want to be successful. Start with these 4 steps.

1. Pick A Niche.

You need to pick a niche(Market) such as "dogs". You do not want to get to specific by choosing a certain breed of dogs like French Poodles. If you do you are putting a limit on your profits. You want to give yourself room to grow and incorporate all dog breeds, this will make it easier to find products on an ongoing basis. It is not recommended to offer multiple products from multiple niches on the same site. It is best to keep your offers related to the niche.

2. Find Your Audience.

Yes do some research to find who would be interested in your content , product, or service. If you do not know who your audience is you will have a very long road ahead to profit. Lets take the dog niche, you would not promote your product or service to cat lovers. You would target dog owners. You should research by searching different products and service in your niche for ideas to attracted the best audience in your niche. You could search out blogs, and news articles about your niche for ideas. Pay attention to comments on the blogs and even join some facebook groups in your niche. This will give your some very good demographics of who would be interested in the product or service you are offering.

3. Pick A Product.

Once you have found your audience, then you find a product or service to put in front of that audience. Believe it or not, Finding a product is the easiest thing in affiliate marketing. Finding the audience is what takes the time. Do the hard work first, then sit back and let your promotions do the rest. You can find affiliate products in many places, start with JVZoo, Clickbank, or Share-a-sale. I would suggest picking 2 products that are very targeted to your niche, one that is a one time purchase, and one that has recurring commissions.

4. Getting Traffic To Your Offer.

This is where most have the hardest time. The reason for this is because they do not do the steps above, They find a product, and just start posting it everywhere they can sending people directly to the sales page. This hurts you and cost a lot of money.

It is best to create your own page to send your prospects to, This can be a blog post(which is best) with content about the product and why your prospect should get it from your page. Offer Something they need or may want that can only be gotten from your page. Once you have your page set up and linked to the offer, then you can start sending traffic to your page.

The best traffic sources is paid traffic from Facebook, Google Ads, and other paid traffic sources. These traffic sources allow you to target only the people interested in your offer, Facebook is best for this. However people do not buy from facebook, they buy from your site so you must get them out of facebook and onto your site.

Yes you can use free traffic methods, but they will not be as affective due to the targeting of the prospects. Most if not all free traffic sources cater to the make money online niche, so it your product is not in that arena you might not do as well as using paid traffic.
